Road: Dharamshala is connected with Chandigarh via NH 503. Chandigarh acts as a hub for travellers coming from anywhere. Roads to every corner of Himachal Pradesh bifurcate at this point. Chandigarh takes 4 hours from Delhi via NH 44.
Kahsmere Gate ISBT has plenty of buses en route to Dharamshala. HRTC buses are government approved and offer most reliable services.
Rail: Kangra Railway Station is the nearest station. Kangra Valley Railway is the mountain toy train that carries passengers from Pathankot in Punjab to Joginder Nagar in Himachal Pradesh. For train schedules check their website. Tickets are bought at the counter and cannot be reserved online. Trains to Pathankot can be booked online.
Air: Gaggal Airport (DHM) is the nearest airport. Flights from Delhi and Chandigarh are operated on daily basis.
