India gets 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2 days.

On July 25th, 2021, Ramappa Temple in Telangana was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. 2 days later, on July 27th, 2021, Dholavira, an ancient village from the Harappan era in Gujarat received the UNESCO World Heritage Site tag. Dholavira was declared the most remarkable and well-preserved urban settlement in South Asia.

There are 40 world heritage sites in India. 32 of them are Cultural sites, 7 are natural sites and 1 falls in the category of Mixed.
