Day 1:
Mode of Transport: Kasauli has a population of less than 5000. Therefore, public transport can rarely be seen. Cabs are easily available and can be booked from any hotel and that will be the best mode of transportation if not having a personal vehicle.
Town sightseeing
10:00 AM – 01:00 PM
Kick off your expedition with the famous and iconic landmark of Kasauli, Christ Church.
The church is known for its iconic structure. Built in 1853, the church attracts large number of tourists and locals as well.
Time duration: 30 – 45 mins
Next attraction is the highest point in Kasauli, Monkey Point.
Monkey point is just 3 km from Christ Church. The point is famous for a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. There are approx. 500 steps to climb which takes 25 – 30 minutes. You get the entire view of the plains.
This area is under the Indian Air Force authority. No cameras and mobile phones are allowed inside the premises for security purposes.
Time duration: 1 – 1.5 hours
For lunch, head towards the centre of the town, Mall Road. Here you can choose from many cafes and dhabas. Café Rudra, Café Mantra and Punjabi Dhaba are very popular among tourists.
Heritage Market is in the vicinity and can explore for souvenirs before heading for the next attractions.
Nature Walk and Sunset
03:00 PM – 06:00 PM
Gilbert Nature Trail is a 3 km walk along the Pine tree forest. The trail is not a difficult one and people of any age group can take the walk without much problem. The freshness and serenity of the place are the incentive of this trail.
Time duration: 1 – 2 hours.
After spending in the woods, head towards the Sunset Point, 500 metres away. Stay till you enjoy the mind-blowing views of the sunset.
Time duration: 45 min – 1 hour.

Day 2:
Sunrise view
05:00 AM – 07:00 AM
If your accommodation is in or around the Mall Road and can wake up early, head for the Sunrise Point, 1 km from Christ Church.
You get clear and spectacular views of orange sky and early rays of the Sun rising above the valley.
After this head back to your hotel and get yourself a nice breakfast. (If not an early riser then you can plan to skip this and head for the main activity for the day).

Riding on UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE
12:00 PM – 07:00 PM
Kalka – Simla Mountain Railway is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and so is Barog Railway Station.
Barog is famously known for its tunnel along the railway track. It has the longest tunnel of 1100 meters. The train takes almost 3 minutes to pass. The railway has been featured in multiple shows for BBC and CNN. A total of 7 trains ply on the route.
Tourist train – Himalayan Queen (52455) – can be boarded at Dharampur Railway Station at 01:40 PM (13:40 hrs). The captivating journey to Barog takes an hour. Barog has a fascinating history and has got its name after the engineer who built the tunnels.
In the meantime, you can look to quench your hunger at Barog just outside the station premises.
For return journey, a passenger train (52458) can be boarded at 05:40 PM (17:40 hrs) at Barog and reach Dharampur by 06:20 PM (18:20 hrs).

Day 3:
Today you check out after having the complimentary breakfast. There are a couple of attractions on your way back to Chandigarh which you won’t mind to stop for a few minutes.
Blessings at Temple and Rope-way
Baba Balaknath Mandir at Garkhal is a revered temple in the region. Localities come here for daily prayers and seek blessings.
The second attraction is at Parwanoo, the border of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, Timber Trail.
Timber Trail offers a captivating ropeway ride of 1.5 km. The cable car lands at the Timber Trail Resort. In the resort, you can look to have your lunch
