Darjeeling

About Darjeeling

Darjeeling is the most sought-after hill station in the eastern part of India and the reasons for that are plenty – the famous Darjeeling tea, Darjeeling toy train, panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga and the gateway to Sikkim.

Often called ‘The Queen of the Himalayas’, Darjeeling is always bustling with life and energy. Residents from nearby regions keep flocking very often, seeking a break from their mundane lives.

The tourist town is not only meant for nature lovers and shutterbugs. Buddhist monasteries, ancient temples and Tibetan centres serve the purpose for people seeking a spiritual experience.

Bangla, Nepali, Hindi and English are very commonly used.

When to Travel?

Unlike many hill stations, you can plan your trip to Darjeeling anytime year-round. However, avoid planning during the monsoon season (June – September).
