The City of Lakes – Nainital, is the place to be if sipping the morning coffee while sitting on the verandah with a lakeside view amidst lush green hills is your dream. The charming kidney-shaped lake is invariably the primary attraction and activities like, horse riding, ropeway, adventurous sports, and wildlife safaris make it one of the most visited hill stations in Northern India.

The town was frequently visited by the Colonial soldiers to rejuvenate their mind body and soul and gradually the town flourished as a tourist destination ever since. The heritage buildings and religious sites act as testaments to the pre-independence era.

Tourism is what drives the economic activities and way of life here. Hindi is very commonly used and English can be managed with. Usually, a three to four-day trip is what visitors plan for.

When to Travel?

Summer is an ideal time but it’s during the winter people plan their visit to get the snow covered views of mountains and forests. December to January have high chances of snowfall.
