Air: Veer Savarkar International Airport (IXZ) at Port Blair receives daily flights from Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. The airport is centrally located in the city of Port Blair.
Getting here by air is the only viable option for tourists planning to visit the Andaman Islands. The seaway is not a convenient way of getting there. There isn’t any cruise ship available. The government-operated ships are meant for freight transportation and take close to 3-4 days.
