Air: Dambolim Airport (GOI) is 30 km south of Panjim (North Goa), capital of Goa, and 26 km north of Margao (South Goa). Relatively small airport as per international standards.
Prepaid taxis are preferred mode of transportation from airport to place of accommodation. Prepaid taxi booth available at the exit.
Travellers are advised not to book any other taxi operators (unauthorized) due to possibility of scams.
If your hotel offers complimentary airport pick-up, that will be ideal.
Shuttle services are available from airport to Panaji and Calangute, although it makes only two trips in a day.
Rail: Vasco-da-gama(VSG) and Madgaon(MAO) are the two important stations of the state and are well connected with the metro cities.
Road: Goa is well connected to major cities on west coast by National Highway 66 and National Highway 47. It takes an overnight drive from Mumbai (555 km), Ratnagiri (233 km), Pune (426 km), Mangaluru (376 km) and Bengalure (590 km) to reach Panjim.
