Air: Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) is the only airport serving the region of Ladakh. The airport was under the Indian Air Force. Now the airport is used by civilians. There are regular flights from Delhi and Chandigarh. This is the easiest and convenient way to reach Ladakh. Taxis are available at the terminal.
Road: National Highway 1 connects Leh to Srinagar and the total distance of this journey is almost 410 km. National Highway 3 connects Leh to Manali and the total distance of this journey is almost 450 km. These are the 2 major roads through which you can reach Ladakh.
Rail: Due to its difficult and extreme landscape, there isn’t any rail network in Ladakh. Hence railway is not an option.
