Air: Coimbatore International Airport (CJB) is the nearest airport at a distance of 90 km from Ooty. The airport is well connected with Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore via daily flights.
The airport receives relatively fewer traffic than other busy airports. Thereby, it is advised to arrange your own pick up and drop facility at your accommodation beforehand, else go for car rentals.
Rail: Mettupalayam Railway Station (MTP) is the railway station that connects Bangalore and Chennai.
From here you board the UNESCO World Heritage Nilgiri Mountain Railways (NMR) and travel all the way up to Udagamandal (UAM) which is the railway station in Ooty.
To get there faster and conveniently, hire a taxi from Mettupalayam Railway Station (MTP).
Road: Ooty has good road connectivity and can be easily reached from Mysore (220 km) and Bangalore (330 km) by National Highway 948 and Coimbatore (90 km) by National Highway 181.
