Road: Shimla is one of the most well-connected Hill stations in the country and the reason behind that is its proximity to some of the foremost towns in the country. The Hill station is just 112 kilometres away from Chandigarh which is the state capital of both Haryana and Punjab. Shimla in itself is the state capital of Himachal Pradesh.
There are many busses which are available from Delhi (350 km) and Chandigarh (112km). If one can afford it, we would definitely recommend a road trip with the trip being full of mind blowing visuals.
Rail: The nearest railway station is Kalka Railway Station (KLK) which is about 90 km away from Shimla and cabs are very easily available from there.
Air: There are two options here. There is an airport known as the Jubbarhatti Airport which is just 20 km however there are very limited flights from here. We would suggest that you reach Chandigarh Airport and then take a cab to Shimla.
