Jaisalmer Haveli Tour Itinerary

09:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Today’s itinerary will take you two well-known havelis in Jaisalmer, beginning with Salim Singh Ki Haveli.

The uniqueness of Salim Singh Ki Haveli lies in its architecture.  Its distinctive nature sets itself apart. You cannot afford to miss this when you are in Jaisalmer. Not as large as the remaing havelis, it doesn’t take much time to appreciate the skilful construction.

Time duration: 30 – 45 min

Mode of Transport: Auto ride.

700 meters from Salim Singh ki Haveli, lies Patwon Ki Haveli.

Probably the largest haveli in Jaisalmer and the most luxurious one. It is now a museum that preserves the wall carvings, paintings and furniture used by the royals. Exploring this haveli takes quite some time and it is undeniably a must visit place.

Time duration: 45 min – 1 hour

Mode of Transport: 5-min walk from Salim Singh Ki Haveli

Sadar Bazar is the heart of Jaisalmer and here you will find some scintillating edifices and shops that have been in existence for centuries. Explore the area on foot.

Tribute to War Heroes

01:00 PM – 03:00 PM

After quenching your hunger, head towards the Jaisalmer War Museum.

15 km from the town, the war museum was opened to public in 2015. The vision of the museum is to promote awareness about the events that took place during the wars of 1965 and 1971. It has military vehicles and equipment used by the Indian Army and those captured from the Pakistan Army.  

Time duration: 1 – 1.5 hours

Mode of Transport: Book an Auto or a cab for a round trip.

After this, you head back to hotel and prepare for night camps in desert.

Jaisalmer Desert Camp

04:00 PM – 10:00 AM (Next Day)

Every hotel in Jaisalmer offers different packages to tourists for Desert Camps. These have to be booked one day in advance. The prices depend on the type tents, activities you want to include and number of days you want to camp.

Ideally you must choose to stay for 1 night in desert camp and go on camel safaris in the evening and the following morning.

Cabs are arranged for you to take to the camps and drop you at the hotel the following day.
