Kasauli Sightseeing Itinerary

Mode of Transport: Kasauli has a population of less than 5000. Therefore, public transport can rarely be seen. Cabs are easily available and can be booked from any hotel and that will be the best mode of transportation if not having a personal vehicle.

Town sightseeing

10:00 AM – 01:00 PM

Kick off your expedition with the famous and iconic landmark of Kasauli, Christ Church.

The church is known for its iconic structure. Built in 1853, the church attracts large number of tourists and locals as well.

Time duration: 30 – 45 mins

Next attraction is the highest point in Kasauli, Monkey Point.

Monkey point is just 3 km from Christ Church. The point is famous for a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. There are approx. 500 steps to climb which takes 25 – 30 minutes. You get the entire view of the plains.

This area is under the Indian Air Force authority. No cameras and mobile phones are allowed inside the premises for security purposes.

Time duration: 1 – 1.5 hours

For lunch, head towards the centre of the town, Mall Road. Here you can choose from many cafes and dhabas. Café Rudra, Café Mantra and Punjabi Dhaba are very popular among tourists.

Heritage Market is in the vicinity and can explore for souvenirs before heading for the next attractions.

Nature Walk and Sunset

03:00 PM – 06:00 PM

Gilbert Nature Trail is a 3 km walk along the Pine tree forest. The trail is not a difficult one and people of any age group can take the walk without much problem.  The freshness and serenity of the place are the incentive of this trail.

Time duration: 1 – 2 hours.

After spending in the woods, head towards the Sunset Point, 500 metres away.  Stay till you enjoy the mind-blowing views of the sunset. 

Time duration: 45 min – 1 hour.

That will be it for one day trip.
