Lake & Temple Itinerary

Temple Tour and Luncheon

11:00 AM – 02:00 PM

First spot to explore today is Dudh Talai Lake, adjacent to Pichola Lake, and seek blessings at Karni Mata Temple.

The views of the Dudh Talai Lake is quite enchanting. It has 2-3 parks which are located on the small hillock. There is a ropeway ride (people can climb as well if they wish) which takes you to Karni Mata Temple. The ropeway is the first one in Rajasthan and you get to see the beautiful views on the way and the entire view of Udaipur city once you reach the top.

Time duration: 90 min – 120 min

Mode of transport: Public vehicle will get you here easily.

For lunch, our recommendation is the famous Nataraj Restaurant which is well known in Udaipur for its veg thali.

Just 3 km from Karni Mata Temple, it takes a 10-min drive to get here. Very popular and pocket-friendly restaurant.

Price range: Rs. 400 – 600 for two.

Mode of transport: Auto-rickshaw will charge Rs. 60 – 70.

Sunset and Shopping

03:00 PM – 06:00 PM

After the lunch, head to see an offbeat place, just 11 km from City Palace/Pichola area, Badi Lake to view the sunset.

Surrounded by hills, this lake is not as commercialized as other lakes and is considered as the hidden gem of Udaipur. It provides picturesque scenes for photo enthusiasts and a sense of calmness for others. Enjoy the experience to the fullest.

Time duration: 60 min – 90 min

Mode of transport: Hire cab for a round trip.

After spending your time there, you would want to carry few mementos and souvenirs back home for your friends and family.  Bapu Bazaar and Bada Bazaar are well known markets where you can find crockeries, khadi products and traditional Rajasthani clothes.
