Mode of Transport: Today you will be exploring all the ancient monuments of the city. Couple of sites are isolated where public transport can be a problem. Subway network is yet to be expanded in these region.
It is advised to book a cab for whole day’s sightseeing at your hotel. Doing so, you can put your anxieties about commute to rest.
Heart of the City

Ancient monuments excursion starts with Charminar.
The monument is 18 km from HITEC City and the ambiance is very different. The locality has the old-world charm and keeps the legacy of Nizams alive. Charminar’s design and interior decorations leave you captivated. From the upper floor, you get the panoramic view of the Old Hyderabad.
Time duration: 45 mins – 1 hour
Next monument is 200 meter apart, Mecca Masjid
The grandeur of the mosque is majestic and must not be missed. It is the most revered mosque. It is said that it took 77 long years to build it and the bricks were brought from Mecca.
Time duration: 30 – 45 mins
Next monument is another 500 meter apart, Chowmahalla Palace
The palace was residence of the rulers of the city. Inside, you will find four separate palaces along with vibrant lawns. The gallery has the antique royal items on display.
Time duration: 1 – 1.5 hours
After the sightseeing, head towards Laad Bazaar, near Charminar circle. The market is famous for its bangles and other jewellery. You have to put your bargaining skills to the test to get a good deal.

Fort and Tombs
01:00 PM – 04:00 PM
Post lunch, you move out of Old Hyderabad and reach, Golconda Fort.
The fort is regarded as the pride of Hyderabad without a doubt. Historically, the fort had helped the rulers of the city to win battles against the invaders. It is must to carry a bottle of water inside the fort. You will be needing it while climbing some 200 – 300 steps to reach the top.
Time duration: 1 – 1.5 hours
At a distance of 3 km stands the oldest tombs in Hyderabad, Qutub Sahi Tombs.
These tombs are the resting place of the rulers of Golconda Sultanate. It is a complex of big and small tombs. They are an architectural marvels and a prominent tourist destination. The gates are closed at 04:30 PM.

Sunset at the Sagar
04:00 PM – 06:00 PM
The last spot is Osman Sagar, 10 km from Qutub Sahi Tombs.
Such lakes are the water source to meet the demand of its people. This is the largest reservoir of the lot and gives a sensation of a sea to the visitors. Entrance is not allowed after 05:00 PM.
You can stay in the vicinity and watch the sun going down the lake.
